Bandage gauze is a medical gauze used to fix wounds, prevent infection, and promote wound healing. It has good breathability and hygroscopicity, which can prevent the contamination of the external environment by the dirty liquid flowing out of the wound and help keep the wound moist, promoting bacterial clearance and wound healing.

The method of using bandages and gauze is as follows:

1. Prepare tools and materials: bandages, gauze, medical alcohol, tape, antibacterial ointment, etc.

2. Clean the wound: Wash the wound with medical alcohol or water and wait for it to dry.

3. The suppurative wound should be smeared with antibacterial ointment: if the wound has exudation, the Exudate on the wound surface should be wiped clean with a sterile cotton yarn before applying the antibacterial ointment to avoid infection of the wound.

4. Dressing the wound: Start wrapping the bandage and gauze around the entire affected limb from above the wound, overlapping each lap on the previous lap until it covers the wound. Be careful not to tie the bandage too tightly, as it can affect blood circulation and cause numbness or swelling in the affected area.

5. Fixed bandage gauze: Use tape to fix the bandage gauze to ensure that the wound remains dry and safe.

6. Change bandages and gauze every day: To avoid bacterial growth and provide sufficient comfort, clean and dry medicinal gauze needs to be replaced every day.

The use of bandages and gauze is the most basic method of wound dressing. It is simple, convenient to use, and has significant effects, reducing infections and promoting wound healing. This method can be widely applied in daily life, not only for first aid, but also for protecting hands, feet, head and other parts. It is a very practical medical device. When using bandages and gauze, we need to pay attention to details, ensure the quality and effectiveness of the dressing, and do not tighten it too tightly to avoid affecting wound recovery and blood circulation. By using the correct method, bandages and gauze can better help us care for wounds, enabling severely injured patients to better recover their health and work.
