The classification of trauma bandages can be very diverse, and according to different standards and uses, they can be divided into the following categories:

Classified by material
Elastic bandage: This type of bandage has good elasticity and can provide pressure and support to the injured area, helping to reduce swelling and promote blood circulation. Suitable for treating conditions such as lymphedema or venous ulcers.

Medical gauze bandage: This type of bandage is usually made of gauze and is used to cover the surface of a wound. It can absorb wound secretions, keep the wound dry, and provide some protection.

Liquid bandage: Liquid bandage is a new type of medical appliance, usually used in the form of spray or daub, which can form a protective film on the surface of the wound, help the wound healing, and have the effect of preventing infection.

Classified by purpose
Hemostatic bandage: This type of bandage is used to control bleeding and is usually used in emergency situations to effectively reduce blood loss.

Fixed bandage: used to fix injured areas, such as fractures or sprains, to reduce movement and promote recovery.

Pressure bandage: This type of bandage helps reduce swelling and promote blood circulation by applying a certain amount of pressure, and is commonly used to treat lymphedema or venous ulcers.

Classify by shape
Circular bandage: The circular bandage method is commonly used for evenly sized parts of the limbs such as the wrist, and is wrapped in a circular overlapping manner.

Spiral bandage: suitable for parts of the limb with uniform thickness, wrapped several times in a circular pattern, with each circle covering one-third or two-thirds of the front circle.

Triangle bandage: Triangle bandage, also known as bow tie bandage, is usually equipped with a safety pin for fixation and can be used to temporarily fix dressings or support injured areas.

It should be noted that the above classification is based on the characteristics and usage methods of different bandages. In practical applications, the appropriate type of bandage should be selected according to the specific situation.
