According to the latest news from CNN, US President Joe Biden has addressed the nation after a shooting at a rally of former US President Donald Trump.
In his speech, he condemned the shooting and said "this kind of violence should not be tolerated in America."
"It's disgusting, and it's one of the reasons we have to bring this country together," he said in a speech in Delaware. We can't do that. We can't condone that."
Biden added that he tried to get in touch with Trump and mentioned that Trump was being treated by doctors and appeared to be in good health.
Biden also said that "everybody" must condemn the shooting at a Trump rally. Us authorities say the gunman and a spectator were killed in the shooting.
"On top of that, the Trump rally... It should be able to proceed peacefully without any problems. This kind of violence or political violence in the United States is unheard of, and it is inappropriate, "Biden said in a speech in Delaware." Everybody must condemn it. Everyone."
Biden added that "every agency in the federal government" is investigating the matter and providing him with updates on the situation.
Before his speech, Biden posted on the social platform X that he was grateful that Trump was safe after being shot at a rally in Pennsylvania. "I have been briefed on the shooting at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania. I'm glad to hear he's safe and well."
He added: "I am praying for him and his family and all those who attended the rally and we are awaiting further information."
