According to Qatar's Al Jazeera television reported that on the 2nd local time, the Israeli Prime Minister's office issued a statement saying that Israel has withdrawn its Mossad negotiator from Qatar.
"Following the impasse in the negotiations, on the instruction of [Israeli] Prime Minister Netanyahu, Mossad chief David Baniyeh ordered his team in Doha to return to Israel," the statement said.
The Israeli statement also accused the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) of failing to implement the terms of the Gaza ceasefire and release all the women and children it had detained.
Hamas later said there would be no further exchange of detainees with Israel until the military conflict in Gaza ends. "Israel insists that we are still holding women and children, but we have released them all," Hamas said.
According to previous reports, the temporary ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip officially came into effect at 7:00 local time on November 24, and has since been extended until 7:00 am on December 1. Early on December 1, the Israel Defense Forces said on social media that it resumed military strikes against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
