However, according to Reuters reported on December 1, when asked whether it would comply with Japan's request to ground the Osprey, the US Department of Defense spokesman said that he had "not received relevant instructions from the Department of Defense", and the US military in Japan is still flying the Osprey transport aircraft. The report also mentioned that Kihara Minoru also confirmed to the media that the U.S. military is still using the "Osprey" news, he said that as of 3:30 p.m. local time on November 30, the relevant Japanese departments have found the "Osprey" transport aircraft near the U.S. military base in Japan for 20 sorties.
According to previous reports, the "Osprey" transport aircraft crashed in Japanese waters belongs to the 353rd Special Operations Flight Group of the US army, which originally planned to fly from Iwakuni Base in Yamaguchi Prefecture to Kadena Base on November 29, and changed its plan to fly to Yakushima Airport halfway. There were eight people on board the crashed Osprey transport plane, one of whom has died, and a search operation is still underway for the missing.
