According to Reuters, two UN agencies told the media on the 18 local time that nearly 100 trucks carrying food for Palestinians were violently looted after entering the Gaza Strip, which is one of the worst losses of aid supplies in the famine-plagued Gaza Strip since the outbreak of a new round of Israeli-Palestinian conflict 13 months ago.

According to Dao, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) official Wateridge said that the aid convoy, which is provided with food by UNRWA and the United Nations World Food Program, received instructions from the Israeli side and set out temporarily from Kerem Shalom port through an unfamiliar route. Wateridge said 98 of the 109 trucks in the convoy were attacked along the way and some of the transport personnel were injured, but she did not elaborate on who carried out the ambush.

"This highlights the serious challenges of delivering aid to southern and central Gaza." "The urgency of the crisis cannot be overstated," Wateridge told Reuters. Without immediate intervention, severe food shortages will worsen, further endangering the lives of more than two million people who depend on humanitarian assistance to survive."

A spokesman for the United Nations World Food Programme confirmed the looting and said many roads in the Gaza Strip were currently impassable due to security concerns.

The report quoted Hamas affiliate Al-Aqsa TV as saying that Hamas interior ministry sources revealed that in an operation carried out by Hamas, more than 20 members of the gang involved in the looting of aid trucks were killed. Anyone caught aiding in such robberies will be dealt with according to an "iron fist policy," the source said.

Recently, the Israeli military operation and blockade in the Gaza Strip are still continuing, the United Nations and multi-family aid agencies have warned that the humanitarian aid operation in the Gaza Strip is at a low point, and it is almost impossible to get aid into some areas. According to a joint report by dozens of aid agencies, the amount of aid entering the Gaza Strip is woefully inadequate. Inside Gaza City, many of the local population, who are completely dependent on aid for their survival, often go hungry when it does not reach them.
