The Conflict in Sudan Has Killed More Than 27,000 People

The NGO "Armed Conflict Location and Event Database Project" (ACLED) released a report on the evening of November 18 local time, saying that the armed conflict in Sudan has killed more than 27,000 people.

 

Since the start of the conflict in Sudan, the organization has documented 8,752 incidents of violence between armed groups, resulting in more than 27,120 deaths. The report also says there has been an increase in violence in the country. Between October 5 and November 8, the group recorded 605 incidents of violence that left at least 2,270 people dead.

 

On April 15, 2023, armed clashes between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces broke out in the capital Khartoum, and the fighting then spread to other areas and continues to this day.
