On the same day, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed also held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Blinken.
At a news conference after the talks, Mohammed said the two sides focused on how to push for a ceasefire and the release of detainees between the two sides of the conflict. He also noted that the recent death of Saleh al-Aruri, deputy head of the Hamas political Bureau, in the Lebanese capital Beirut has made efforts to reach a new agreement between the two sides of the conflict more difficult.
