Tripoli - A Libyan official said that the residence of Abdel Hamid Debaiba, the prime minister of the National unity government that controls western Libya, was hit by a rocket attack on March 31 local time, causing no casualties.
According to Reuters, the unnamed official confirmed that the attack caused only some damage.
Two locals said they heard a large explosion near Debaiba's neighborhood.
Libya, located in northern Africa on the Mediterranean Sea, has been in turmoil since the overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi's regime in 2011.
