On the morning of the same day, Zhengzhou Customs issued the certificate of origin of the China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement to a chemical company in Puyang city, Henan Province, which is also the first certificate of origin of the China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement.
With this certificate, the company's batch of chemicals exported to the Maldives can enjoy a 15% tariff reduction, and the export products worth 164,000 yuan have a total import tariff reduction of nearly 25,000 yuan.
According to the China-Maldives Free Trade Agreement arrangement, in terms of trade in goods, according to the base year data of the negotiations, the number of products with zero tariffs and the import value of the two sides have accounted for more than 95%. According to the relevant person in charge of Zhengzhou Customs, after the agreement comes into force, Henan Province's exports of mechanical and electrical products, auto parts, furniture bedding, chemicals and other products will enjoy a tariff reduction of 5% to 20% of the value of the goods, which is expected to save Henan export enterprises nearly 10 million yuan in tariff costs throughout the year.
